Protein and Egg Protein

Protein is essential to a healthy body. It is made up of amino acids, which can build new proteins, forms the structure of cells and builds and repairs tissues. Protein helps with muscle building. It helps people feel full longer and contributes to a healthy weight.
When protein-contained foods are consumed, our digestive system breaks down the proteins into their amino acids, which are absorbed into the blood, thereafter the body uses the amino acids to rebuild the proteins suited to its special needs.
Eggs are a great source of protein. Egg protein is a complete protein, containing all of the essential amino acids. The protein in eggs has the highest biological value of any food.

Can We Eat Egg With Soybean Milk?

The trypsin contained by the human body can break down proteins. A rumor has it that egg and soybean milk cannot be eaten simultaneously, claiming that soybean contains some trypsin inhibitor, which can inhibit the digestion of proteins and thus reduce the nutrition value. The truth is that, if soybean milk is fully cooked, then almost all of the trypsin inhibitor will be inactivated, thus the digestion of protein will not be affected. And if active, trypsin inhibitor can not only impact the digestion of egg protein, but also soybean protein. Besides, trypsin inhibitor also exists in other foods, such as cottonseed, peanut, rapeseed, etc. Meanwhile, eggs also contain a trypsin inhibitor, which can be destructed by cooking.
